Happy Thanksgiving to all of my lovely fellow Canadians!

This is a holiday filled with food and family. For myself, and many others, it’s also a Holiday where you are meeting family for the first time.

With this all in mind, I think that a classic black dress is quite fitting for the occasion. For one, a dress is practical – Try for a waistline that sits higher on the waist for comfort while eating (and after). It’s really the ultimate smoke and mirrors – You appear well-dressed (and you are) when really the goal is secretly comfort 😉

I pulled this classic that I bought from Aritzia earlier this year from my closet.
