For the longest time, I’ve been a fan of bareMinerals’ face primer, and I still am. However, in changing up to my new, moisturizer-free routine, I’m giving another a try.

Foundation Primer – Hydrating

The first thing I noticed about this primer is the size of the tube – It’s huge as far as beauty products go! That’s definitely a value-add, as it only takes a little bit of primer to go a long way.

For those who don’t use face primer, the goal of it is to create a more evenly balanced base to put your makeup on. It helps to smooth out pores and fine lines, while at the same time working to help keep your makeup in place.

The beauty of this primer from Laura Mercier is that it’s also quite hydrating! It feels SO refreshing when it’s applied – I honestly can’t wait ’til I get to this part of my routine. I apply it to my entire face after I’ve finished my brows and eyes. I like that it provides moisture that it comparable to a moisturizer, while drying so that it’s undetectable.

This primer works over time and is packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and other hydrators. I definitely recommend it for dry skin types, especially going into the colder months!
